Biography Ms. Pfrimmer has graced both concert and opera stages throughout her career. Among the opera contracts awarded to her include New Orleans Opera, Montreal Opera, Virginia Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Opera Birmingham, Opera Grand Rapids, Shreveport Opera, Pensacola Opera and Ohio Light Opera. Her roles include a large cross section of the soprano repertoire including: Manon Lescaut, Cio-Cio San in Madame Butterfly, Mimi and Musetta in La Bohème, Violetta in La Traviata, Nedda in I Pagliacci, Freia in Das Rheingold, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Micaela in Carmen, Marguerite in Faust, Gilda in Rigoletto, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, as well as Lehár’s heroines, Hannah in The Merry Widow and Lisa in The Land of Smiles. On the concert stage, Ms. Pfrimmer has performed with London Symphony, Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland –Pfalz, Virginia Symphony, Illinois Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony, Lake Charles Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Baltimore Choral Arts, New World Symphony, Conductors Ms. Pfrimmer has worked with distinguished conductors throughout her career. Elegant and appealing in a variety of repertoire, Amy Pfrimmer has experience, refinement, dramatic flexibility and vocal versatility, with which she turns in consistently compelling performances.
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, New Jersey's Ocean City Pops, and the Glacier Symphony, among others.
Throughout her career, Ms. Pfrimmer has been the recipient of several acknowledgments for her artistry. In the Metropolitan Opera National Council's Gulf Coast Region, she received 1st Place and was a National Finalist in that competition. Subsequently , she received a study grant from the Metropolitan Opera, was named a Louisiana Division of the Arts Fellow, and she was a finalist in the Opera Birmingham and Mobile Opera Competitions.
She was awarded young artist contracts with following opera companies: Florida Grand Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Virginia Opera, and was a singer with New Orleans Opera’s MetroPelican Opera. Her teachers have been Philip Frohnmayer, Arthur Levy, Mary Henderson-Buckley, Martina Arroyo, Patricia O'Neill and Sandra Kungle.
